AALI is a 10-week program of weekly classes conducted in the evening and a one day leadership retreat focusing on cultural identity, team-building and service to the community. AALI also offers participants the opportunity to engage Arizona’s foremost business and policy authorities in a continuing dialogue about leadership and the African-American community. AALI enhances and underscores an understanding of the role culture plays in leadership development.

Sessions are held once per week (usually Wednesday) from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. primarily on the campus of South Mountain Community College. A mandatory all-day retreat is held on one Saturday during the program. Meals will be provided at Orientation, the Retreat and Graduation. Program tuition is $550.
